This is not talk therapy. This is not a work out class. This is a space to transform your experiences, your trauma, and your emotions into healing. It is to be held in community together … to speak, sing, move, dance, weep, rage …

In this space, traumatic experiences might be shared. It is my job to guide, and hold. You are here to share, be held, and be a witness to others stories and experiences. You are not here to take on, formulate articulate responses or embody or absorb other’s experiences. In fact, it is empowering and honoring for both to allow people to be in their grief and discomfort, to be there with them, without taking it away or taking it on.

Children are beloved, but are asked to stay home during these sessions. If you need help finding child support, please let me know and I would love to connect you with our community.

Rooted Gathering: for mothers and parents (birthing person only)

Location: Austin, TX - Saturdays

To village in our modern world.

To come together as one, as human, as mothers and parents. To heal. To be held. To witness and be witnessed.

Come, find the roots within yourself that yearn for solid, safe earth to stretch wide.

Structure: We will open our time together with breath work. Transitioning into discussion. I will lead our group in dialogue exploring a specific theme, giving space to process and work to heal. During that hour, there will be a meal and tea or nourishing latte, served to you on your mat. Then we will transition to movement and somatic healing. Wild or calm, grounded or energetic, primal, freeing, healing movement. We will move side by side in our unique bodies, feeling free to listen to what our body is asking of us, even if it differs from my offered facilitation.

Current theme: relationship to body and self within

My hope is that you will leave feeling nourished in mind, body, and soul — that you feel enriched — that you will have begun, restarted, or continued the conversation of healing with your body — that you will feel held and witnessed in your healing journey by community.

What to know:

  • Our gathering is scheduled for 2 hours from 9am-11am and will begin and end promptly. This means to allow spaciousness and ease we will have 15 minutes of transition time to start, and 10 minutes of transition time at the end.

  • To bring: journal, something to write with, water, clothes you feel comfortable to sit, move, and possibly weep or sweat in.

  • Please inform me of any allergies or preferences you may have that will allow you to enjoy freely.
