FAQ

What kind of clients do you work with?

My work is focused on supporting couples and individuals.

I support couples in phases of fertility, conception planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting. I do not currently support those managing infant loss. Please reach out and I would love to connect you with incredible clinicians that can support.

I support couples and individuals with an emphasis on parenting; learning about their own childhood, belief systems, triggers and how those experiences impact their parenting and work towards more balanced and happy parenting.

I also support couples in communication, transitions, trauma, and relationship discernment.

I support individuals in relational issues, relationship with self, trauma processing support, religious trauma, nervous system regulation, and pattern disruption.

Do you have a physical office space?

I am currently only providing telehealth services.

What therapeutic modalities do you utilize?

My work is influenced by Internal Family Systems, Feminist Theory, Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Structural Therapy, among other modalities, tools, and techniques.

Do you offer sex therapy?

I am not a certified sex therapist. However, I believe that within all romantic relationship systems physical and sexual intimacy is an important component in relationships and relevant to our work. This means that physical and sexual intimacy will be a topic of conversation that we process in our time together. If there is a certain issue, topic, or interest you have pertaining to sex therapy, we can explore that together. If it is outside my scope of practice, I will happily refer you on to a therapist that will better support your needs and hopes for therapy.

Do you take insurance?

Ayla Maduzia Counseling is a private practice that is currently only able to support private pay clients. However, I do also work for a group practice that utilizes insurance, please reach out and I’d be happy to discuss options with you.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Yes! I believe in care being accessible. Please share with me your financial needs, and we will discuss a rate that works for us both.
