Welcome. I am so glad you have found your way here.

My goal in our work together is to support symptomatic relief, and for you to feel confident and grounded in creating patterns that support who and where you want to be.

Let's connect

Giving space to what is present of mind while balancing exploration of historical context and influence, mindfulness and learning about your unique nervous system.

It looks like slowing down and getting to know yourself … getting curious about why you are the way you are, why you act the way you do.

It means creating a relationship with the parts of you that may have caused pain, confusion, disruption, addiction … offering them compassion and helping them to heal.

We will get to know your system, your patterns, your parts and create space for healing and a better way of being.

Therapy with me looks like

“I am learning every day to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be to inspire and not terrify me.”

Tracee Ellis Ross

All of you is welcome here.

This work is hard. It can be difficult, tender, painful, exhausting. I also believe it to be magical and life changing. Do you want to feel happier, more grounded, more capable, more comfortable… what are your goals? How do you want to feel? What in your life, past or present, is inhibiting you from those goals, from those feelings? Let’s get into it together.

It is powerful to invest your time and your money in understanding the intimate complexity that is you. To deepen the understanding of those patterns, to disrupt and make space for something different.

I will support you in creating a deeper awareness of yourself in order to nurture the relationship within you, and with those around you. For this space to be wholy effective, this work requires your energy both in and outside of session.

During our time together, I will utilize talk therapy, somatic techniques, art therapy, writing techniques (among others) that support healing and deepen our understanding of your experiences. I work from a systems framework pulling inspiration and techniques from Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Person Centered ... as well as my general counseling education and life experiences.

I am a mother, wife, friend, daughter ... reader, gardener, traveler ... while this space is not for me and I keep that boundary line clear, who I am will exist in the room with you. These parts of my identity make up the therapist I am and benefit the lens from which I work.

Some of our time together will consist of working to explore your experiences throughout childhood and adolescence in order to frame how that existence influences your life today. What parts of you as a child show up in your life today? How have your childhood and adolescent experiences influenced the way you interact with the world? How you interact within relationships? How you interact with yourself?

There will be a focus on emotion. I believe it is vital to the healing process to put language to feelings, and identify how those feelings manifest themselves in our body. This helps to soothe disconnection and create a pathway from what we feel in the brain to what we feel in the body. In creating a deeper connection with mind and body, we can work to heal.
